Morning Portraiture

Morning dew & frosty breath are magical things to capture in an image. These sessions are always the most special - there's just something about the energy of waking up & playing with horses in the morning light. 

With the best light we can plan for, a session might take us for a ride on the beach, a walk over the farm or a picnic with your family. It’s your session to show me what you love most about your life.

Bridie is set up in her 4x4 to stay overnight anywhere in New Zealand so she can roll out into the morning light prepared to capture your equine lifestyle.

The opening act is done without the camera. 

To help create a combined vision of the session we will open the channels of communication right after your Portraiture Session is purchased. 

‘Seeing’ yourself can come with some peculiar sensations. I’m well aware of the mind’s proclivity to distort perception & I want you to feel as much at ease in front of the camera as possible. Included in each session is a Preparation Guidance Booklet to give you some time to adapt to being in front of the camera.

I’m conscious of the horse's experience through all of this - I aim for a soft eye & a relaxed mind. This sets the entire session. The timing, the posing and the activity.
